The activities this Fall were building catapults for a pumpkin throwing contest. A pie baking contest
requiring all cooking be by open fire, reflector oven, or Dutch oven. The weekend was also the same weekend that the Worldwide "JOTA " program took place. Jamboree on the Air draws close to a half million Boy & Girl Scouts Worldwide.
Special thanks to the volunteers of the Stephenson County Repeater Association who provided the Amateur Radio equipment and gave of there time and talents to see that every Scout had a chance to make a contact by radio. Contacts were made with stations in Canada, Vermont, Ohio, Texas and many other locations.
