Every Scout deserves a trained leader! Plan your work; work your plan!
A trained leader is a prepared leader. You wouldn't want your own children being taught by an uncertified teacher, would you? Many of our leaders in the Jo Daviess, Carroll, and Stephenson counties spend countless hours guiding our Scouts to bigger and better adventures. They each need to be trained! If there are adults moving from rank to rank, they need to update their training.

Every Cubmaster and assistant Cubmaster, committee member including committee chair, Webelos den leader, Wolf or Bear den leader, and Tiger Cub den leaders need to have New Leaders Essentials (only once in a lifetime) and the Leader Specific Training for their rank. Listed below you will find the dates and locations that have been set up. Registration is needed so materials can be provided. Consult the council Web site at www.blackhawkscouting.org for up-to-date information.

Lets make it our goal to have every top leader trained by the end of 2007.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need of volunteers on the District Commissioner staff and Committee. There are a number of opportunities. If you would be interested in helping please contact Gene Nott or me. Here is a partial list of opportunities:
